Pharmaceutical polishing machine is a specialized pharmaceutical coating machine used to polish and clean the dust which cover the surface of capsules or tablets. Also known as capsule polisher or capsule/tablet polishing machine, this is an essential part of the treatment process of any capsule, tablet and other medicines. The machine is quite effective in gently removing dust and powder from the capsules and polishing them usually by means of a soft nylon rotary brush, installed in the machine. After coating process using different pharmaceutical coating techniques, the tables, capsules are taken to the next phase and that is polishing. The basic purpose of a pharmaceutical polishing machine is to improve the extent of finish and meet the requirements of the health standard of the pharmaceutical trade.
Working of Polishing Machine:Medicine polishers are made of high quality stainless steel or other metal and consist of a hopper and surface plate. Capsules are transported with the help of pharmceutical conveyors and vacuum is used to remove loose caps and bodies that might accidentally be included in the batch. The capsules or tablets move down the length of the polishing system where absorption media above and below the product is energized by vibratory motion to gently polish the surfaces of the capsules. Polishing the pills and tablets remove oil from the capsule’s surface and creates a polished appearance.
